My Offering mixed media sculpture series centers on death and rebirth. I'm in the process of wrapping the offering. The process of wrapping explores the act of devotion and our inherent desire to protect those whom we love from pain and suffering.
Honored and excited to have my Holy Cow! recycled art glass mosaic sculpture featured in Monmouth Museum's 38th Annual International Juried Art Exhibition opening January 14, 2017 through March 13, 2017.
My mind is gestating a new project. I'm in the beginner's mind; about to submerge into the chaos of unknowing. Heart beats faster...
It was an honor to introduce Sue Kreitzman and Anothai Hansen to Luis and Arle, the Directors of Blue Door Arts Center and Gallery. Sue and Anothai are wildly creative outsider artists. Their works are fantastical. I hunted Sue Kreitzman down for the "Out of Bounds: Freedom of Expression" exhibition. I've been a big fan of her work and love her philosophy of aging creatively. I was over the moon when she said, 'yes' to my invitation to be in the show at Blue Door. Sue has introduced me to some amazing artists; members of her 'tribe,' as she puts it. My first experience with curating an exhibition is taking me on quite a journey. I am filled with awe and wonder.
